I’m a sucker for beauty products, and if there’s one thing I always shop when I’m travelling, it’s new stuff for the beauty shelf.
In New York I discovered a really cool beauty concept called Birchbox. Do you know it?
It’s a monthly delivery service, that brings a box of beauty to your doorstep. The box is filled with samples, so you have the opportunity to try different products. With so many products out there today, it’s pretty much impossible to navigate through all of them, let alone find out which suits you best.
The service isn’t in Denmark yet, so I went by their Soho store instead. And it’s like beauty heaven!
Hair texturizers, lip balms, eyeliners and skincare – they have it all. It’s all listed in categories (instead of brands), so you discover new products while browsing. The coolest thing about the store is their BYOB (Build Your Own Birchbox) corner, where you can choose 5 samples for $15 and pick your own box to go with them.
I love samples and mini sizes, because they’re great to bring on travels.
So what did I get?
I didn’t go for the full box this time, but because of the really chilly weather I was in desperate need of some hair help, so I brought home an old favourite: Oribe’s Dry Texturizing Spray – in a mini size to fit my bag of course.
If I could only choose one hair styling product, I think that would be it … It’s what good hair days are made of!
