GLOSSIER SHOWROOM & SHOP

It’s tough not to fall for the branding superpowers of beauty brand Glossier.

As a spin-off of beauty blog Into The Gloss, started by Emily Weiss in 2010, it’s based on hundreds of interviews with women about how they apply, use, remove and everything else around makeup and beauty products.

They only sell online (other than the occasional pop up store), and only ship to the States but in New York they also have a store/showroom. As a big fan, I had to stop by the last time I was there.

The showroom is a wonderful pink room filled with all their products. Cute sales girls wearing even cuter pink tracksuits are ready to help you find the products best suited for you, and will happily give you an added beauty tip with purchase. I only brought back the Milky Jelly Cleanser, because my stock was pretty full, but here’s a list of my Glossier favourites:

Boy Brow – I go for the brown one, and it goes on smoothly and gives me naturally (looking) full brows!

Priming Moisturizer – I adore the packaging of this one! But it’s also a wonderfully simple, no fuss moisturizer. I usually pair it with a serum or oil, becuase it’s not too heavy, but for the warmer months, this is great. With spf on top of course!

Milky Jelly Cleanser – Mild but effective, I couldn’t really ask for more. And the pump is great!

Moisturizing Moon Mask – I love to sleep with this one on and wake up with beautiful skin.

Since I stopped by Glossier has launched a sun screen that I would love to try, and next time I think I’ll go for their Cloud Paint blush as well.

My tip if you’re not going to NYC anytime soon? Order it to your US hotel instead.
