I’m gonna let you in on a little Mallorcan secret – but don’t tell anyone!

When in Mallorca, there are certain things one must have: croquetas, pan de cristal, tomato salad.

And if you ask me, Tast Club is the place to do so.

If you’ve been to Palma de Mallorca, you’re probably familiar with Placa del Rei Joan Carles 1 on the top of Passeig del Born (with the small fountain), where you might have spotted one of the Tast restaurants just around the corner on Carrer Unió. Tast knows a thing or two about tapas, but at the one in Unió, you come for the food, not so much the interior.

Tast Club, however, is a totally different thing.

The funny thing is, it’s just two minutes from the bustling and busy Born and it’s sister restaurant. It’s hidden in a narrow street of Palma, you’ll only find it if you know it’s there.

When you walk from the fountain up Carrer de Sant Jaume, it will be on your right. No signs, but look for the candle lights.

The interior is both raw and decadent with brick walls and chandeliers, and the bar for sure won’t leave you thirsty. And the menu? Tapas of course. Go for a lot of small plates, and make sure you go with all of the above (the tomato salad is served with a to die for burrata) + their fried artichokes. They also have a raw bar. End your meal with the most perfect molten chocolate cake (if you’re not too full) and a coffee.

This is one of my favourites in Palma, and I aim to visit every time I’m here.

Make sure to book a table, this place is busy!
