It’s only been a few weeks since I came back from New Year’s in Berlin, and the past few days I was there again for fashion week. I was invited by Dorothee Schumacher to attend their show, and I had so much fun!
I’m really starting to like Berlin, there are so many cool spots. Will have to come back again soon …
First stop was the Dorothee Schumacher office to do an interview with Dorothee and have a sneak peek at the collection. No photos allowed, so I’ll show you the lunch we had afterwards instead. It was at the classic Berlin restaurant Borchardt, which is definitely worth a try if you’re around!
In the afternoon we had a few hours at our hotel, where I took advantage of the bathtub. Then it was time to get ready for a cocktail event, also hosted by Dorothee Schumacher.
I went to dinner at favourite Soho House with the sweet Sarah (responsible for the PR of Dorothee Schumacer in the Nordics), Darja and Celine. After dinner we went to our lunch restaurant Borchardt again, because that’s where the cocktail party was held. Upstairs in the restaurant, there’s a really cool apartment that also acts like a bar, open for everyone on Fridays. So cool!
Sarah and I had so much fun with Darja and her norwegian glossary, we felt like we were in an episode of Norwegian TV-series Skam. Added #dritkult and #gøy to our vocabulary!
Tuesday morning started with the Dorothee Schumacher show – and it was so cool! Here are two of my favourite looks, but I could have chosen many more. Can’t wait to see the collection up close!
After the show we rushed over to Mykita, who gave us a tour of their impressive headquarters. They make all the frames by hand, which is up to a thousand a day (!). I fell in love with these ones.
Lunch hour again! We were in the area of this cool spot, which is an old apothecary. I’ll tell you more about that very soon!
Before going back home, we had a few hours to stroll around. We stopped by the cool Voo Store and window shopped for shoes at KaDeWe.
Thanks Berlin, it’s been a blast!
