This is such a Milan classic!
One of the things I really love about Milan is it’s hidden courtyards, and this is one you don’t want to miss!
In the shopping area around Via Montenapoleone, you’ll find Via Santo Spirito – and right across the Gianvito Rossi store is the small courtyard. You wouldn’t notice it if it wasn’t for the buzzing vibe and happy people sipping wine for lunch and munching on fresh pasta. They have all the classic Italian dishes on the menu; carpaccio, risotto, mozzarella di bufala – do you really need more? Not if you ask me!
It’s definitely best to sit outside, but if the weather doesn’t allow it, inside isn’t bad either. Whatever you do, make sure to book a table – and to visit their little shop afterwards selling the delicacies like cheeses and pasta to bring home. Mmm!
