Every day when I ride my bike home from work I pass Hotel SP34. It’s very close to where I live, actually just a few streets away.
That’s why I decided to do a staycation there! I was quick to pack me and my boyfriend’s bags, and we rolled our way over there. It was one of the first days of spring – at least we thought so – the sun was shining but it was freezing! (In fact, it still is!)
Hotel SP34 is built in three very old Copenhagen buildings, so all rooms are different. Some are long and narrow, others more square – but that’s the charm of it. So are the changing levels when you walk the halls, that’s a sign you’re walking between one old building to the next.
After checking in we decided to go for a walk, pretend to be tourists in our hometown. We had coffee at Sonny, but it was too cold to go anywhere after that so instead we curled up in the bed with an episode of Girls.
For dinner we tried something new too: Musling, which is very close to being our neighbour – so it’s was about time we got around to trying it. The menu is mainly fish, and I can very much recommend it!
Hotel SP34 is for the urban traveller who wants to live centrally in Copenhagen without maxing out the budget. And for those with a love for a wonderful breakfast buffet. This one is all organic and presented beautifully! In fact, I might come back for the breakfast even if I’m not staying the night.
