Here is the second edition of guestblogger Luka’s tips to Barcelona, this time covering something equally important while on a city trip; snacks. Read more about Luka here, and see her other tips here.
With all the kilometres walked, city escapes call for snacking in between meals and Barcelona really does snacking (and strolling) well. Three favourites this time spans from from fresh juices to eye catching ice cream.
Eyescream and Friends
To a visual nerd like me, this place was a thrill. They add sugar-eyes to the ice cream, and whoops you have eyes-cream! Then you add a selection of toppings. The level of detailing is impressive, and hands down, you don’t see that very often when it comes to ice cream joints. Itss right by the Barcelonetta, but notice that they don’t open ’till 1pm, but then they roll as late as 1am.

Press & Reset
A block down from Eyescream, Press & Reset is situated. The concept is simple and inviting: they cold press juices freshly everyday, easy to grab for the beach to stay hydrated and healthy. Open from 10am.

Kakigori
In the northern part of Barcelona I found this funny little place. They serve Japanese ice, and I won’t add cream, ’cause really it’s shaved from a bar of ice and then a bit of flavoured syrup is added. Again, it’s simple and a bit weird, but I found it refreshing and interesting. So if you’re in that area, it’s worth a try!
