While the fashion industry is in NYC, I’m at home packing for London and Milan – not bad either! My ELLE editor-in-chief Cecilie is there too, and before she left, she asked me for a few new spots she should try. I thought I’d share them with you as well.

De Maria

Chef Camille Becerra has previously been at Navy and Café Henrie (two other NYC favourites) and is now working her magic at her new Nolita spot De Maria. Food is colorful and healthy (her specialty) – I’d love to try the Tiger Bowl with coconut grains, house-cured salmon, avocado, hijiki, black sesame, leche de tigre. Open all day for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

By Chloé

This might look like another American fast food spot (maybe a bit prettier), but everything is vegan and 100% plant based. Burgers, oven baked fried, juices, salads, ice cream – there’s a lot to try, if only you can choose. They have several locations around town.

Daily Provisions

When you find yourself in need of a coffee or snack close to Union Square, try out Daily Provisions. They offer lots of baked goods and breakfast sandwiches – yum!

While We Were Young

A quick Google search told me While We Were Young is what Instagram dreams are made of: pink, marble, golden details – but it also told me that it’s definitely a place to stop by for a night out with the girls. The menu offers modern classics such as burrata, tuna tatare and house made pasta and the cocktail menu is fresh and colorful.

It’s been several years in waiting, but now it’s here. ABCV is a the vegetarian spin-off to (perhaps my all time favourite) Abc Kitchen, and is both a restaurant and take away spot. Go for breakfast, brunch, lunch or dinner – or just a cocktail.

A frenchie in NYC, Maman looks like the perfect place to brunch. Soft and crumbly croissants, farmhouse granola parfait, foamy cappuccinos or how about a croque Maman? I say oui merci! If you visit their Soho café, don’t miss the next door boutique.
