LÙBAR

I just came back from fashion weeks in London and Milan and it was great. I went directly from London to Milan, so to say the packing was a bit of a challenge is an understatement. But I managed …

In Milan there was one place in particular that I really wanted to visit … LùBar! Just look at it!

Luckily I found out it was just a few minutes walk from our hotel – we stayed at Senato, also a favorite of mine.

Even though the name says bar, it’s also a café. Upon entering, you’re met by, yes, a bar, but go a little further and you’ll find the stunning dining room. There’s an exotic vibe going on, but in a very sophisticated way. Think palm trees and pineapples inside an old palazzo style building. I love it!

We sat among a very chic crowd of Italian ladies. Yes, it was fashion week, so maybe the clientele was a little more dressed than usual, but this is definitely a people watching spot.

We tried the lunch menu which is simple, but delicious: a fresh juice, fried chickpea snacks with avocado dip and a green bean salad topped with a poached egg. A refreshing alternative to the Italian classics.

I would love to come back at night, to check out the cocktail menu!
