The last time I went to New York I ‘found’ ABC Kitchen, which might very well be my favorite restaurant in the whole world. Yes, it’s some kind of a statement, but I’ve been dreaming about it ever since.
ABC Kitchen is run by chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten and the menu is all organic. They serve seasonal food, so the menu changes often, and they have a love for veggies, they even have their own rooftop garden! They do serve fish and meat, though. When I was there, rhubarbs were in season, and already in the bar I realised their commitment, they’d put them in a cosmopolitan. Very clever and very tasty!
We also got an insane homemade ricotta, served with toasted bread. I’ve never tasted anything like it! It was amazing as a snack, starter or side.
ABC Kitchen is situated in the building of ABC Carpet & Home, a huge interior store. They also serve brunch, and I can only imagine how amazing that must be!
