Last weekend (the first of 2016) I treated myself to a spa day at Amazing Space. And I couldn’t think of a better way to kick-start (or shall I say ease my way into) the new year.

I’ve been wanting to try Amazing Space since it opened with the renewed Hotel D’Angleterre a few years ago, but simply haven’t gotten around to it. There’s a resolution for me (and you!) right there – more spa time. And may I suggest you start in the basement of Copenhagen’s most luxurious hotel? Don’t worry, in this case, basement is a good thing. With it’s own entrance, you can enter the spa incognito (aka in sweatpants and no makeup), instead of going through the lobby. I’m already impressed!

When you step in, all stress immediately begins to leave your body. The sight of the beautiful pool, the silky soft robes and the warmth makes you feel right at home in an instant. I went for an aromatherapy massage but came early so I could enjoy the pool and shuffle between the steam bath and the sauna. Do I need to tell you the massage was amazing?

As with all good things, it’s in the little details, and Amazing Space is great at that!  Afterwards you’re treated to a Slow juice with free access to the tea and nut-bar.

Amazing Space also has their own skincare line, available to shop in the spa and online. I’m thinking of trying one of their facial masks, to get the spa feeling at home. Maybe not the exact same thing, but one can only hope right?
