I have plenty of favourite places around the world, but right now Bluestone Lane is topping the breakfast/brunch/lunch list.

How so? It’s cosy and laid back, serves great coffee and the food is simple – but really good!

Bluestone Lane has several coffee shops around the city, inspired by Melbourne coffee culture. I visited the West Village location, which is the only one serving a full menu of breakfast, brunch and lunch. And I wanted to try it all! I went for the coconut quinoa porridge with cashew cream and fresh berries – and let’s just say I’m still dreaming about it. Next time I’m going for the lemon ricotta pancakes, avocado smash toast or green baked eggs – might have to come back more than once …

Did I mention the coffee is superbe?

They just opened an uptown location also serving food – just what uptown has been missing, it’s not easy finding simple but great food there.
