The popular clothing brand Maison Kitsuné knows that fashionable people loves good coffee. They’ve taken it to the next level opening cafés in Tokyo and now also Paris. I’ve been to both, and I’m a fan.
The first of two Paris cafés is found in Palais Royal, formerly the royal’s garden, now a green oasis in the middle of Paris, with shops lined all around – sounds perfect, right? And with Stella McCartney, Acne Studios, Marc Jacobs and many more on the shopping route, you will need a break to rest and refuel. Café Kitsuné is tiny, so take your coffee to go, and bring it outside to a bench in the garden, while you watch kids playing around, loved up couples strolling and French men playing boules. For the sweet tooth you’ll find a selection of small cakes and cookies, and in the summertime they also have ice cream on the menu.
But what I really love about Café Kitsuné is that you get a little piece of their cool world, even in their tiny coffee shop. Iphone covers, Kitsuné coffee cups, their music compilations or their special ‘Dream Concerts’ posters made in collaboration with André Saraiva – it’s all available in store.
51, Galerie de Montpensier, 75001 Paris. The other Parisian Café Kitsuné is located in 68, Rue Condorcet, 75009 Paris.
