A while ago I had the pleasure of doing a staycation in my own city, more specifically Nobis Hotel in Copenhagen.  I love staycations – it’s such a great way to experience your city from a new point of view.

Nobis also has a hotel in Stockholm (including little sister Miss Clara) and opened the Copenhagen outpost last fall. It is housed in the old Royal Danish Conservatory of Music, and the building is absolutely stunning.

They’ve renovated a lot – but the main marble staircase stayed. And marble is on repeat at Nobis – the bathrooms are top to toe marble, and quite beautiful! And what else would you expect to find as bathroom amenities than Swedish Byredo? I have a great belief that you’re allowed to bring home all bath products from a hotel stay – and when they’re as good as these, I definitely will.

Don’t have plans on a staycation soon? Here’s the good news: you don’t even need to stay at the hotel to enjoy their weekend brunch. It’s open for everyone, and it really takes the term brunch up a notch – think lobster rolls, lumpfish roe and a to die for croque monsieur.

Why not finish your Copenhagen stay with a cultural touch? The Glyptoteket Museum is just across the street, not only is the building one of the prettiest in town, the winter garden is also reason enough to go!
