There’s a new spot in Mallorca-town!
During my easter break I spotted this place on Instagram, and it looked too good not to try it out immediately.
It is conveniently called Spot (easy to remember), and it’s a restaurant based in the cool Santa Catalina area of Palma – my favorite.
The interior is very Scandi chic meets classic Mediterranean – it’s beautiful. From the street you can have a sneak peek into the kitchen and pizza oven – including a heavenly smell. It’s hard to resist going in!
Spot feels like a place that could be on a street in New York, maybe because of the big windows in front. Mallorca has a lot of amazing spots (you know I’m a fan), but not many have the same coolness to it.
The menu is a mix of classic tapas, pizza, pasta or dishes like tuna tatare and octupus carpaccio. In other words: comfort food that suits everyone no matter the mood. And speaking of mood, they also do excellent cocktails.
Spot has a few big tables, inviting bigger parties to eat, drink and enjoy the evening. The night I stopped by the place was packed and the atmosphere amazing.
This is a new favorite of mine, I can’t wait to come back. Maybe for lunch the next time. Reservations recommended – at least for dinner.
