I’m back from a wonderful trip to Stockholm. The fashion week is not as big as in Copenhagen, but that just means it’s easy to get around as most of the locations are within walking distance. Here’s a recap of the three days …
Checked in at Berns Hotel, which has the perfect location, as many of the shows are hosted there. And their breakfast is something I still dream about … It’s also in walking distance to a lot of the great shops, including Céline that will open soon!
Swedish brand House of Dagmar had a show in Copenhagen, so in Stockholm they did a small presentation. The location? The stunning (!) private home of the youngest of the designer sisters Sofia.
I also had a chance to stop by the Blue Billie store in Södermalm. I love their simple approach to jewellery, which is easy to mix’n’match. More about that store soon.
Rodebjer hosted a beautiful dinner in an old but newly restored building. Drinks kept coming and in between courses, the models showed the SS17 collection. Unfortunately we weren’t allowed to do photos, as it’s a secret until it comes in stores in December.
Luckily Rodebjer also hosted a shopping event in their gorgeous new flagship store (find it on Norrmalmstorg, close to the Acne flagship) with lots of pink drinks. The store was crowded (though it doesn’t show on the photo) and Swedish model Frida Gustavsson spinned records. I had a chat with her, read the interview here. She was so sweet!
The swedes do coffee really well – and I’m amazed by how many milk alternatives they have. I’m not allergic, just curious, and the oat milk at Fabrique bakery was really tasty. Their cinnamon buns looked amazing too!
Atp Atelier makes really great shoes and bags! They showed the SS17 collection in a suite at Grand Hotel with shoes and bags all over. I wouldn’t mind moving in there! My favourites? It’s hard to choose, but the black and white pony slippers on the left was really cool. The mary-janes next to them has the perfect heel!
How do you like this PJ set in the swedish colours? It’s from Lovechild 1979 and I absolutely love it! As you can see, it’s not just for sleeping – it’s great for drinks with the girls as well …
… and for dinner at Stockholm classic Riche. Moules frites on the menu, yes please! Had the company of Hanna and Sidsel, the latter doubled as my photographer when my suit matched the carpets at Grand Hotel.
Outfit on day three – this Àeron leather jacket is nothing less than perfect! T-shirt by Proenza Schouler, skirt by Zara, sunnies by Ahlem, bag by Atp Atelier and loafers by Gucci. The lunch? A poké bowl I found at a new spot … Stay tuned for more!
