I’m a fan of everything The Experimental Group is behind (like this bar and this Paris hotel), and their latest hotel opening is no exception. Henrietta Hotel opened in May this year, and let’s just say the wait for me to stay there felt like forever.
During London Fashion Week, I finally checked in!
I emailed the reception the same morning, saying I would arrive early, and they made sure my room was ready at 10am – that’s already a star in my book, and I hadn’t even seen the room yet!
The bathroom is reason enough to go. I’ll let the photos speak for themselves for a moment.
Yes, this is exactly what Instagram (and my) dreams are made of. Marble, pink, double sink – and check out those towels and bathrobes. Even the ‘bath’ written above the door works to your photo advantage when taking selfies in the mirror.
While a pretty bathroom is nice, it’s not all. Other nice-ities count a huge amount of natural light, lots of space for beauty products and a big walk in shower. Oh, and room service cappuccinos.
Henrietta has already gotten great reviews on their in house restaurant. I only tried it for breakfast, but would love to come back for dinner. Staff is friendly and very attentive. One night while waiting for our Uber, they were quick to ask us to sit in the bar for a drink, which they served up before we could say cheers. And speaking of drinks, they serve some mean ones.
You’ll find Henrietta in London’s Covent Garden. A lot has happened in that area lately, like lots of cool spots opening. A breakfast favourite nearby is 26 Grains and Parisian restaurant Frenchie is just next door to the hotel.
I will definitely come back, and can only recommend you do too! If you do, make sure to look for the leopards …
