OSTRICH FARM

The Arts District wasn’t the only area I explored in LA – I also checked out Echo Park for the first time.

The area doesn’t have that many sights, but one place worth a visit is the café Ostrich Farm. I went for brunch, and I’m still dreaming about it!

On the menu you’ll find modern classics such as tartines (I had the avocado) and bowls which is mostly a mix of scrambled or poached eggs with greens and other goodies. It’s locally sourced, and they even have their own garden where they grow some of the things. But you can also indulge in bacon, pancakes and french toast if you’re in the mood.

I came just when they opened at 10 am, but it quickly filled up. Even if it is a popular spot, it still feels less touristy and overrun than many other (Insta worthy) LA spots.

They also do dinner, and their cocktail menu (and bar) looked really good!

My tip if you do come for brunch? Stay and have an extra coffee on the bench out front.
