Oh, how I miss that weekend in Milan back in October! Especially as we just had the first snow of the season here in Copenhagen …
I’m always amazed by how many memories can come from just one short weekend, and that’s exactly why I love traveling so much.
Anyway, back in October I spent a weekend in Milan with my boyfriend, strolling, shopping and eating spaghetti and pizza. I love to try different hotels, and besides one night at Room Mate, we also stayed at the Senato. The Senato Hotel is also where the ELLE team stays during fashion week. It is ideally located in the Via Montenapoleone area, just behind Via Spiga – so if you want some shopping done, this is your place.
The hotel is chic with simple gold and marble details, the rooms are big, and the court yard the best place to enjoy your breakfast or just a coffee. The breakfast buffet is perfectly simple and has everything you need. With only 43 rooms it’s not a huge hotel, and the regular reader will know that I love that. There’s something calm and quiet about this hotel, like an oasis in the middle of Milan. Senato also has a gym and spa services coming soon.
I’ll definitely come back to Senato, even if only for a weekend.
